This paper focuses on the out-of-plane compression properties for selected curved folds. Different curved fold samples were manufactured under identical and reproducible conditions with equal characteristic dimensions. Results show, that the mechanical performance is dependent on unit cell curvature, with smaller radii correlating to higher compression performance. The test setup, sample manufacturing and test results are presented and analysed.
