摘要

Magnetic resonance velocimetry has now been developed as a tool for studying transport in DPFs. SF_6 gas has been used to successfully study flow behaviour in diesel particulate filters for the first time. The results can be used to enhance our understanding of mass transport in filter walls, as well as the overall operation of a DPF. The results are extremely useful for validating DPF computer simulations. The results may also enable the improvement of the performance of current filter systems and aid in the design of future filter systems. Development of this technique for DPF studies continues.
