The task of the DAF Trucks Design Department for the EURO 6 cab was to combine both robustness and styling aspects into one design. This implies that there was a need for suitable technologies to combine the required visual aspects such as chrome-look surfaces and a cost-effective production method. This challenge was given to the design team when the development started. How we met this challenge I will explain in the next twenty minutes under these headings: (1) Firstly, a short introduction to the EURO 6 project; (2) An overview of all of the decorative parts which were developed; (3) Presentation of the DAF Name Plate in detail; (4) Conclusion; (5) Summary.
