Low voltage electrical systems are facing multiple vehicle level requirements: 1. Fuel economy; 2. Torque assist for enhanced driving performance; 3. Enhanced electrical features (Power supply). Increase of electrical features and functions will lead to enhanced power requirements for the power supply system. Cascaded to the energy storage this means: 1. Increased transient power; 2. Over the entire vehicle operation temperature range; 3. With high availability/robustness; 4. 48V as well as 12V; 5. With optimized package volume and weight; 6. At low cost.
