摘要

Assuming that the structure formation processes of stone-mastic asphalt (SMA), and, consequently, its physical and mechanical performance, is greatly influenced by the interaction of bitumen with stabilizing additives surface, it was confirmed theoretically and experimentally that polyamide fiber has a high reactivity to organic binder due to the chemical nature of the fiber, which has a positive effect on SMA quality. It was also demonstrated that when using pulp-and-paper waste as raw material for producing granular stabilizing additives their origin should be taken into consideration. The additive produced from cardboard keeps bitumen on its surface much better, which allows receiving SMA with higher performance than when using other cellulosic source materials.
