Aiming at the disadvantages of industry controller in practical application, for example, poor flexibility, single function, and high cost, an embedded industry controller with comprehensive functions is developed by adopting modular design method. The main controller based on ARM and FPGA architecture adopted embedded Linux operating system. Because of the controller's outstanding characteristics of high flexibility and configuration, it can be applied in many fields. The system composition and operational principle of this controller are introduced concretely and the hardware and software designs are discussed. The specifications and features of the system are also described. The test results show the function modules run in good working states and the design of embedded industry controller are feasible. It reaches the expected design goals.
