摘要

Taiwan Environmental Protection Administration started the air quality monitoring program since late 1990’s. Volatile organic compounds (VOC) are one of the monitored species because of its photochemical reactivity as well as several VOCs that are classified as known or probably carcinogenic to human [USEPA, 1994; Payne-Sturge et al., 2004]. More than 50 VOCs are measured by the continuous on-line gas chromatography in each monitoring station. Most of these monitoring stations are located on the roof of a building with 3-4 floors inside the block in urban area. The representativeness of the air toxics data from monitoring station has been arisen while using these data to evaluate the potential impacts on public health caused by emissions from the source in urban area.
