Enterprise Cloud: Its Growth Security Challenges in China

Enterprise cloud technology and data storage services provide many benefits, including lower costs, easier maintenance, and global availability. With easy access to the Internet and increased domain of resource sharing, there has been no looking back for the enterprises that have started providing the cloud technology services in the recent years. China, one of the top developing nations in the world, has now become one of the biggest markets in the world in providing the cloud services. However, many companies and users of the cloud technology still do not trust the cloud entirely for their sensitive data storage, mainly due to the lack of transparency in the security of data in the cloud. There are many security risks involved that may compromise the data stored and shared over the cloud. These factors pose many challenges to the enterprise cloud security domain, causing the researchers to work actively in finding some solution to overcome the related threats. Due to its unique government controlled environment in China, domestic and international cloud computing companies adhere to their specific methods to adapt to the Chinese market. In this paper, we will focus on the exponential growth of the cloud-based services in China in the recent years and the risks and challenges it has to face along with the present and future solution that they either implement currently or plan to achieve in the future to provide the maximum security to their clients.
