Thermodynamics in porous electrodes is discussed for simple model electrolytes in slit porous electrodes. Adsorption of surface charge and ions, pressure, and the selectivity of ions for the case of multi-component electrolytes were analyzed by using the methods of analyses that have been used in the study of porous adsorbents in the last decades. We compare the results for adsorbents and those for porous electrodes and clarify the similarities and differences.
