Since the ever-increasing demand for energy and power in our daily life, it's been highly urgent to develop new energy storage devices. Hybrid supercapacitors (HSCs), consisting of a battery-type electrode associated with Faradaic redox reactions and an electrical double-layer capacitor (EDLC) electrode, have stimulated great interests owing to their appealing advantages including fast charge-discharge capability, long life-span, high safety, much higher energy density than conventional capacitors and higher power density than batteries. Therefore, various battery-type electrode materials, including transition metal oxides, hydroxides and sulfides, have been widely explored for advanced electrochemical electrodes.
