A NOVEL METHOD FOR CONVERTING CARBON DIOXIDE INTO CARBON UNDER MILD CONDITIONS

摘要

CO2 is considered as the main greenhouse gas blamed for raising the temperature on the earth over recent decades. The current level of atmospheric CO2 concentration now is estimated to be more than 400 ppm which reaches a warning symbol for humans. On the other hand, CO2 is a nontoxic, abundant, and economical substance. Therefore, developing a technology for efficiently converting CO2 into chemicals is needed urgently, which is also very important not only to decrease the environmental impacts of greenhouse gas emissions, but also to provide new thought for carbon cycle, especially for CO2.
