The paper presents a scope of modernizations of turbogenerators type TWW (with hydrogenwater cooling), implemented by EthosEnergy Poland S.A., on the example of turbogenerators type TWW-200-2, TWW-200-2A, TWW-320-2Y3, TWW-500-2. The above turbogenerators are fundamental power units in electric power systems in Poland and some other countries. The purpose of the modernization was to increase the turbogenerator power and to improve some constructional points in order to rise the generator operational reliability. The modernizing changes were introduced in stators, rotors and ventilation system. The modernizations were applied in turbogenerators operated in Poland and other countries. Tests and measurements of the modernized turbogenerators confirmed the correctness of the made constructional assumptions.
