Incremental capability deliveries are planned into the future for the MK 18 and 19 Family of Systems. Improve capabilities, technology refresh, avoid obsolescence. Automatic Target Recognition continues to be a high priority for the Fleet, and an enabler for autonomy. Reduced total mission time and improved MCM performance in complex environments remain the over-arching need. Continued involvement and investment by industry remains a vital component to building warfighting capabilities. Gov't laboratories, academia, industry cooperation is key in addressing limitations and improving capabilities for future unmanned systems.
