Spectra of Frame Operators with Prescribed Frame Norms

We study the set of possible finite spectra of self-adjoint operators with fixed diagonal. In the language of frame theory, this is equivalent to study of the set of finite spectra of frame operators with prescribed frame norms. We show several properties of such sets. We also give some numerical examples illustrating our results.
