摘要

This paper presents the synthesis and characterization of mesoporous silica prepared under various synthesis conditions. Variables studied were acidity, aging period, washing solvent, washing technique and drying temperature. The influence of these parameters on the textural properties and morphology of mesoporous silica is reported. Increasing the acidity of the synthesis solution changed the shape of the particles from spherical to rope-like fibers and also increased the BET surface area of the silica.
