Platinum catalyst is present in a small amount, and it can react with a wide variety of compounds in a manner that inhibits cure. Inhibitors of platinum cure include (but are not limited to): Tin compounds. Sulfur compounds. Chromium compounds. Amines. Alginates. Copper- and mercury-containing solders. WARNING: It is important to check the substrate for these and other "poisons" to avoid cure inhibition issues.
