This paper describes a comprehensive research on rollover prevention for light vehicles.A multi-parameter modified Neural Network-Time To Rollover(NN-TTR) metric is used for online rollover predication in the proposed rollover warning algorithm.The performance of the warning system is further enhanced in comhination with an anti-rollover control system hased on Integrated Chassis Control(ICC).Differential hraking and active front steering are adopted as actuators to generate direct yaw moment and active steering angle.The two actuators are coordinated by model predictive control(MPC) methodology with proven good robust performance.The algorithm is evaluated under several typical maneuvers utilizing Matlab/Simulink and Carsim.The Simulation results show that the roll stability of the light vehicle was improved significantly by the proposed NN-TTR algorithm and anti-rollover control svstem.
