'Health systems strengthening: implications for public health research’

The toll of preventable illness, early death and lifelong disability in developing countries is not onlyunjust but also critical impediment to equitable health development and social justice. AIDS, TB, Malaria, childhealth & maternal health, coupled with chronic diseases, continue to pose major public health challenges. In thecontinuing battle to deal with these challenges and meet the Health MDGs, we have one indisputable ally:‘Health Systems’. Health development and its overarching achievements are confronted within the paradigmshift from global declarations of AAD for ‘Health for All’ and health MDGs.
