摘要

A novel space thruster using stardust was proposed. As the stardust, carbon particles of 5 μm in diameter were used as propellant. At first, the particles were negatively charged by electron cyclotron resonance (ECR) plasma. Then, we tried to accelerate the charged particles by an acceleration grid. However this method was difficult to make the large acceleration voltage, because it would discharge between an acceleration grid and plasma. Therefore, we propose a novel method to accelerate particles is charged using the ECR Plasma as an electron source.
