Activity of a Neuron for Generation of Pulse and Plateau with Positive and Negative Potentials

Electro-physical modelling of an active neuron is given based on dynamic interaction of charges (ions) among three zones and two depletion layers (liquid junctions) induced in cytoplasm. Modelling of positive pulse generation is first given with Na~+ injection (influx) and late K~+ ejection (efflux). Equivalent circuit of activity is given with forward and reverse diodes and resistance for feedback (output to input coupling). Modelling of negative pulse generation is then given with the same configuration with Cl~- injection and late K~+ injection. Characteristic potential waveforms are shown qualitatively for pulse and plateau with positive and negative potentials. It was proved that not only positive potential but also negative potential exists as action potentials in neurons.
