摘要

Simultaneous recording of positive and negative chemical ionization (CI) mass spectra is described. The capability of this technique, and negative ion CI mass spectrometry in general, to provide a hundred- to a thousand-fold increase in sample ion current, unique structural information, and confirmation of sample molecular weight is illustrated.
