摘要

This study investigates the microphysical processes of warm clouds over the Asia-Pacific region with CloudSat satellite observations in the period from April to September 2008.Results show that the mean liquid water contents (LWC) over the western Pacific are 20 ~50 percent higher whereas the altitudes of maximum LWC are about 0.5 km lower than those over the Asian continent,which are related to the weak upward motion and large surface evaporation over the ocean.
