As a global environmental issue, land degradation is heavily threatening people's living and development. At present, China still faces serious soil erosion and the extent of land degradation is across the country. In this paper, Linjiang City is seen as the study area, and based on RS and GIS technology, comprehensively considered the natural and human factors affecting the land degradation. According to the actual situation in the study area, the calculation method of each factor is selected. The Universal Soil Loss Equation is chosen to quantitative evaluate the situation of soil erosion. On this basis, the affect factors of soil loss in Linjiang City was analyzed in this paper, and the analysis result can provide a scientific basis for prevention and control of soil erosion in Linjiang.
