Thermal Conductivity of Organic Liquids: a New Equation

摘要

The main goal of the present work is to build an empirical and reliable model for each family of compounds based on few easily accessible physical constants. For this purpose, experimental data for refrigerants, alkanes, alkenes, aromatics, cycloalkanes, cycloalkenes, ethers, esters, ketones, carboxylic acids and alcohols were collected and selected. To minimize the deviation between the predictions and the experimental data and to find the optimal coefficients for each family of a recently proposed equation, a non-linear statistical analysis was performed. Finally, optimal coefficients and different versions of the proposed equation were proposed for each family. The resulting equations are simple and are able to predict the thermal conductivity with very low deviations for all the studied families.
