Coal Mining Research at CSIRO

摘要

Over the last 15 years CSIRO has, through its integrated coal mining research program, developed a range of advanced mining technologies that have delivered significant benefits to the Australian coal mining industry. This paper provides an overview of these technologies such as longwall automation, coal mine methane drainage, mine fires control, and mine ground water management. This paper also highlights key current coal mining research activities, for example, roadway development, integrated coal and methane extraction, ventilation air methane capture and utilisation, and hard rock cutting technologies.
