Water quality modeling with application on Surduc Lake

摘要

Currently, in Romania, surface waters are evaluated in accordance with Standard 161/2006. Using this standard is done the ecological and chemical classification for all surface waters. Ecological status for the two categories of surface waters (rivers and lakes) is made based on biological, microbiological, physical-chemical quality elements and specific pollutants. Chemical status for the two categories of surface waters (rivers and lakes) is evaluated based on the analysis of hazardous substances impact (synthetic and non-synthetic substances) like heavy metal ions and organic micro pollutants. In this paper is showing the results after simulation of the water quality for Surduc Lake using the Mike 11 program. After simulation using Mike 11 software results that from physical-chemical point of view that lake water (without source of pollution) has a moderate ecological potential due to BOD and DO parameters.
