Integrating Renewable Energy in the GCC Power Grid: Legal and Policy Frameworks for the Promotion of Renewable Energy in Qatar

It seems somewhat of a contradiction to call for measures to promote renewable energy in the Gulf's largest producer of the 'blue gold', natural gas, at a time when natural gas is globally lauded as the 'clean[er] fuel' of the future. But the basic premise of this paper is that just because one has an abundance of an available natural resource, it does not mean that alternative sources of energy generation should be discounted.
