Composite material choke and kill line will reduce reduce hook and top tension loads and riser weight. 15000 psi 4.5” ID choke and kill line has been designed and passed qualification. Three 75 ft (22.6 m) full length lines have been successfully manufactured and passed FAT The lines have been in successful operation on the Transocean Spitsbergen drilling rig in a pilot period. The lines will be put into further service by Transocean after a recertification.
