A theoretical model is established in order to analyze the stress state and estimate the connecting strength of the iron-based shape memory alloy pipe-connector. The effect of the temperature on the connecting strength is investigated using this model. The results show that the enclasp force of pipe joint P and maximal stresses of pipe and pipe joint (σ_N~A, σ_N~B) decreases linearly as increasing temperature. P and (σ_N~A, σ_N~B) decrease as increasing the thickness of the pipe joint, the decrease of σ_N~B is less than that of σ_N~A. Therefore, the thickness of the pipe joint is small as much as possible in order to enhance the enclaspe force.
