Regenerative hydrogen bromine (H_2/Br_2) fuel cells, which utilize a membrane-electrode-assembly (MEA) with a polymeric cation exchange membrane, are an attractive energy storage system. In this paper, dual nanofiber electrospun composite proton exchange membranes were created by electrospinning two polymers: perfluorosulfonic acid (Nation~?) and polyphenylsulfone (PPSU). The dual nanofiber mat was processed into Nation nanofibers embedded in PPSU. For this regenerative H_2/Br_2 fuel cell system, proton conductivity, the Br_2/Br_3~- diffusion coefficient and permeability in composite membranes with different Nafion volume fractions are presented and discussed.
