摘要

The study is aimed at comparing the convergence of Newton's iterative method and Bakhshālī square root (BSR) method. It is shown that BSR procedure naturally leads to a superfast computation of the square root problems under study. It was then concluded that of the two methods considered, BSR method is the most effective. It has been shown by comparing Newton's iterative method with BSR method with a suitable example.
