A novel high gain circular disc antenna configuration is proposed. The antenna is a stacked configuration of two circular discs, designed to operate in TM_(11) and TM_(13) modes. The working principle is based upon the radiated field superposition of TM_(11) and TM_(13) modes. The antenna has a broadside gain of 13.86dB with a SLL of -13dB. Effect of ground plane size on sidelobelevel is presented.
