摘要

The major yellow carotenoid, crocin, from the dried ripe fruit of Gardenia jasminoides Ellis was isolated and charactered by high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and LC-MS. Direct scavenging of oxidant anion were evaluated by UV-Vis-NIR method. The percent inhibition of superoxide signal was related to the crocin concentration.
