1.Permanent wet strength(PWS)polyamidoamine epichlorohydrin(PAE)resin is utilized in all hygienic paper grades that require wet tensile strength.1.1 The wet tensile strength loss(decay)over time is only 10-15%.One typical use example is a consumer towel.2.Away From Home(AFH)commercial towel grades do not need the”permanence”and may only require a short period of wet strength performance.2.1 For AFH towel grades,end users typically require less the 15 seconds to dry their hands 3.Glyoxalated polyacrylamide resin could be efficiently applied for the development of temporary wet tensile strength in towel grades only under acidic pH of pulp slurry.3.1The wet tensile strength loss(decay)over time is 40-60 %.Introducing a new alternative wet strength technology based on a novel glyoxalated polyacrylamide(GPAM)used in combination with a strength activator for the production of temporary wet strength towel grades under alkaline pH conditions.
