In response to the global need for low global warming potential (GWP) sustainable blowing agents. The Chemours Company has developed and commercialized Opteon~(TM) 1100 (HOFO-1336mzz-Z) and Opteon~(TM) 1150. These blowing agents demonstrate a wide range of attributes well suited to delivering energy-saving improvements to spray polyurethane foam (SPF) and construction insulation products. Additionally, they enable the industry to meet new low GWP and energy efficiency targets. This presentation will focus on several examples of how such products can be leveraged to provide sustainable, next generation polyurethane foam products that exhibit excellent, long lasting R-value performance while exploring opportunities for formulation optimization and flexibility.
