Amphiphilic Oligopeptide Side Chains on Antifouling and Fouling Release Material of PS-b-P(DMS-co-VMS) Based Diblock Copolymer

Amphiphilic surfaces and molecules, most commonly seen on cell membranes and detergents, have both hydrophobic and hydrophilic qualities which give these surfaces and molecules some dynamic characteristics. Recently this type of surface has been considered for marine antifouling and fouling release applications, as amphiphilic surfaces may provide an environmentally friendly novel non-biocidal alternative for surface coating.~(1-6)
