STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES OF A TEACHING INNOVATION PROJECT. A PATH TOWARD CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT

According to continuous improvement principles, it's very important to do an analysis about process carried out. So, the main aim of this work is to review the methodology used in developing the teaching innovation project "From the Industrial Engineering Degree. Actions to Improve the Implementation of the Degrees”, carried out during 2011/21 by a team of professors from the School of Industrial Engineering of University of Valladolid. To obtain the necessary information from which develop the work, a questionnaire with a specific format was created to be used for the metaevaluation. This questionnaire was sent to all team′s members, and their points of view to the implemented methodologies, teachers’ motivation and coordination, students’ perception about the process, and use of different questionnaires to obtain information was collected. The results were processed and classified through a SWOT analysis (strengths (S), weaknesses (W), opportunities (O) or threats (T)), which simplify the understanding. From this information, we have known the most important strengths and weaknesses, and we have proposed actions to improve future developments of teaching innovation projects, to continue the optimization process and continuous improvement.
