The 10% PVA + 3.3% PEG films fabricated in this study were found to dissolve completely in approximately 2 mins, indicating the fast-dissolving nature of these polymeric films, A general trend was observed that as the amount of DS-SILY_(10) incorporated within the polymer solutions increased, the amount of DS-SILY_(10) incorporated within the films also increased. However, the time required for film dissolution, the size of the dissolved polymer fragments, and the thickness of the films did not change with the addition of DS-SILY_(10) at any concentration, indicating that the amount of therapeutic incorporated into the films can be readily tuned without impairing the overall properties of the film.
