Aircraft engine turbine blades, which are manufactured from nickel-based superalloys, are often in a single crystal form. This provides for the best high-temperature creep resistance as compared with the blades of equiaxial and columnar grain microstructures. Turbine blades were manufactured in an ALD Vacuum Technologies furnace. The study encompasses structural perfection of single crystal blades obtained by the Bridgeman method from the CMSX-4 nickel-based superalloy at various withdrawal rates: 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 mm/min.
