The present invention relates to a hot corrosion resistant nickel-based superalloy comprising from about 11.5 to about 13.5 percent by weight chromium, from about 5.5 to about 8.5 percent by weight cobalt, from about 0.40 to about 0.55 percent by weight molybdenum, from about 4.5 to about 5.5 percent by weight tungsten, from about 4.5 to about 5.8 percent by weight tantalum, from about 0.05 to about 0.25 percent by weight columbium, from about 3.4 to about 3.8 percent by weight aluminum, from about 4.0 to about 4.4 percent by weight titanium, from about 0.01 to about 0.06 percent by weight hafnium, and the balance nickel plus incidental impurities. The superalloy has a phasial stability number NiV3B less than about 2.45 and is suitable for manufacture of a single crystal casting, which can be a gas turbine blade or gas turbine vane.
