摘要

In the present work, sound velocity parameters have been calculated from density and sound velocity measurements of cardiovascular drug Furosemide in the presence of cationic surfactant cetyltrimethyl-ammonium bromide (CTAB) at different temperatures. These parameters include Specific acoustic impedance (Z), Intermolecular free length (L), Sound velocity number [U] and Relative association (R.A.). The variation of these parameters at different concentrations of drug with CTAB has been analysed in order to understand the synergistic behavior of drug-surfactant complex. The studies reveal the presence of drug-drug, drug-surfactant and drug-solvent interactions which can be related to electrostatic as well as hydrophobic interactions.
