Isolation of Endophytic fungi from Xylocarpus granatum and Study of antimicrobial activities

摘要

Endophytic fungi isolation from the Meliaceae plant Xylocarpus granatum was investigated and 20 potential pure strains were isolated. According to microbial taxonomy and morphology method, 10 species Rhizoctonia DC of Deuteromycotina, Penicillium 6 species, 1 species of Aspergillus, 1 species Trichoderma and 2 species Mucor of Zygomycotina were identified with microscopic examination. Antibacterial experiments were carried out with Oxford cup assay and 10 strains metabolites with strong antibacterial activity were found.
