The land use sustainability in Xining which based on ecological footprint model

摘要

Based on ecological footprint model, this paper calculated the ecological footprint and the ecological carrying capacity and ecological surplus of 2000 ~ 2012 years in Xining,the results showed that the current land use in Xining City is the absolute ecological deficit,which indicate that the land development in Xining is being away from the sustainability .From 2000 to the present stage, while the government of Qinghai takes the tourism as a pillar industry, domestic and foreign tourists is in the sharp rise. Xining, the capital of Qinghai province and the transport hub of The Tibetan plateau , also bared a great impact on the city itself, with the fiscal revenue increased but also some negative effects, so need to think about the questions: How is the coordinate status of the city and the economic development? And what about the ecological environment sustainability of the city? Based on the ecological footprint model of Xining from 2000 to 2012, the paper takes the empirical research of the ecosystem service requirements and the natural ecosystem service supply, which is expected to offer suggestions for a new round of general plans for land and for the rapid economic development direction.
