Development Bottleneck and Countermeasures of Chinese University Presses in Transformation

摘要

As institutions of colleges and universities and serving teaching and scientific research, university presses are faced with a change of identity in system transformation. Some of them would encounter many problems in this process due to limits deriving from historical reasons. This paper fully analyzes these problems and holds that the countermeasures for university presses are as follows: making reasonable orientation, creating direction-guiding plans for future development, building talent teams and highly efficient editor teams, having a rational setup within the enterprise, making alliances, and striding along the road with unique characteristics.
