The development of today's power distribution and transmission network is leading to a higher short-circuit current level. The high-voltage cable and accessories in the system are under more dynamic and thermal stress during short-circuit faults. At present, our products are being systematically updated to withstand a short-circuit current of 63 kA for 1 s. In this paper, the optimization of a joint is presented. The optimized joint successfully passed the thermal short-circuit test.
