Analysis of the change in the pulse's characteristics following stimulation to the points on the body suitable for acupuncture

Scientific and technological advancements in society today provide diverse benefits to people, but in this increasingly modern world, problems such as lack of exercise, excessive workload, and stress are emerging as well. In addition, an increase in the relative numbers of senior citizens, as life expectancy rates have become extended, and the need to more effectively manage their health are emerging as new issues that society must address. For example, the number of patients who complain of geriatric and stress-related disorders, as well as mental illnesses is increasing. Accordingly, the need for a better system for the diagnosis and treatment of these phenomena is increasing. For this reason, much research is being undertaken in the area of clinical diagnosis and therapy methods concerning geriatric and stress-related disorders. However, such testing and treatments are often quite expensive and complex, not to mention time-consuming. To solve these problems, this research paper proposes a system that can conduct pulse measurement, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention using hand acupuncture that draws on a foundation of traditional Korean scientific and medical knowledge.
