In order to restore soil polluted by crude oil, soil collected from an oil field located in northeast China were chosen to study in this research, from which three oil degrading bacteria were obtained by means of bacteria screening. We use them ultimately in order to make little damage to the micro-ecological environment. The experimental results indicated that, the degradation rate increases over time, degradation rates from 1 week to 4 weeks, HXSS2> HXSH1> HXSS1. However, from 12 weeks, HXSS2> HXSS1> HXSH1. Finally, HXSS2 was selected as the oil degrading bacteria, and the best inoculation time is 16 hours after cultivation. Four different kinds of bacteria were isolated from HXSS2.
