Describes the experimental setup for studying the nozzles. Presents a methodology of the experiment and data processing of the results. Reduction of energy losses in the nozzles of small turbines is a reserve for increasing the efficiency of the turbine. This can be achieved by modifying existing profiles or create new nozzles. Fershalov Yu. Ya. created nozzle box with nozzles original design. The device showed low values of energy loss, which is unusual for a nozzle apparatus with nozzles having small design angles exit. The studywas conducted nozzle apparatus comprising steps, which is not allowed to study in detail the influence of various design parameters of the nozzles on the value of energy losses in it. This was due to the impossibility of varying the number of parameters (e.g., height of the nozzles), which would lead to the need for several different size of turbine stages. As well as the presence of rotor wheel, which makes its effect on the flow of gas coming out of the nozzle.
