The continuous roving of two different sizing glass fibers were fed into the vented barrel and directly injection molded to form the dumbbell shape specimens. The effects of processing parameters, sizing agent of glass fiber and the modification of matrix on tensile properties of glass fiber reinforced polypropylene composites are evaluated. The PP sized-GF showed better interfacial bonding with PP matrix, which resulted in higher tensile properties than the PC sized-GF composites. The addition of 2 wt.% MAPP significantly improved tensile strength of GF/PP composite. The tensile strength of MAPP-GF/PP composites fabricated by DFF process was higher than extrusion-compounded composites.
