摘要

Injection molding is one of the most attractive mass production methods for plastic parts. However, weld line is one of the typical problems seen in injection molding. In order to get high performance, long fiber pellets are often used for injection molding composites. In this research, long and short glass/Polyamide (PA) pellets were used to fabricate the non-weld and weld dumbbell specimen by injection molding technology. The hybrid specimens were molded according to the ratio of L75S25, L.50S50 and L2.5S75. The mechanical property of non-weld and weld glass/nylon specimens was investigated based on the tensile test and scanning electron microscope (SEM) observation.
